Dear Family and Friends In Christ,
The Christmas truth that our Lord’s provision for all peoples’ salvation is effectual only to those who trust Him as Savior drives us more than anything to preach Him as our Cocopah’s only Redeemer regardless of their background or response.
“…we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those
that believe.”(I Timothy 4:10)
Your prayers strengthened our resolve and secured God’s blessings on our fall labors as surely as your support of every kind sustained and met each need. THANK YOU far beyond the individual notes we’ve sent for your gracious involvement in any aspect of Native American missions!
Summer’s exhausting schedule of back-to-back camps, V.B.S., and mission meetings on top of tri-weekly services and yard work continued with our 115 degree temperatures well into October. By that time we’d covered summer obligations and gotten Silas and Lydia into their sophomore and junior years of college locally and in Chandler, near Phoenix. Transmission repairs on our most economical van could at last be done on trips to Phoenix.
Simultaneous, large, one-time gifts came from churches and individuals that month in answer to long standing prayer. We rejoiced and used them as godsends toward church vehicle repairs for fall ministries. BLESS our great Jehovah-jireh and each of you for replacing the fuel line and all over-aged tires on our bus in time for our October revival and special Christmas meetings. Complete transmission and cooling system repairs on our mini van prepared it for our 720 mile trip to Pastor Gehlken’s late October missions conference near Los Angeles, California. The van is almost invaluable for daily trips to the reservations for Bible studies,
and visitation.
Cactus work contributed to the first half of our 2011 property taxes, but your intercession and sacrifices provided for annual revival, quarterly insurance, bimonthly ladies’ Bible studies, monthly Bible college, and ongoing medical expenses. P.T.L. for your faithfulness and His grace in turning Cocopah of all ages from pagan creature worship to saving faith in our Creator and Savior through these labors.
THANK YOU Pastor Doyel for your physical and monetary help with our October 23-28 revival meetings. Your unique preaching showed more adults than ever the only source of life for their spiritually dead souls. PRAY for follow-up contact through Christmas and New Year’s ministries as well as for conversions or revival for Adam and Cassie, Claude and Sharon, Dillon and Cheryl, Dominic and Mary, George H. and Alfreda, Laura and Shawn, Lori and Percy, Wanda and George, and Carlos, Clarissa, Crystal, Daryl, Millie, Ralph, Roxanna, Shavonna, and Tillie.
PRAY for the spiritual needs and well-being of a larger group of young people from the tribal youth home and the Alvarez, Barley, Jim, Padilla, Serrano, Thomas, and Twist families. Many ladies and foster girls in this group heard the gospel and a lesson on Christian modesty at Dawn’s November 12 bake day. Most others can rarely be contacted to bring to regular services.
BLESS the Lord of the harvest with us for His increase as you pray for the challenges before us.
