“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift” II Cor.9:15.

Dear Prayer Partners,

May each of you have a great Holiday as we celebrate again the Savior’s birth and look forward to his coming again to take His bride home.

We are in the middle of the busy Holiday season and looking forward to the New Year of 2012.  I want to bring you all up to date on what is going on here in Indian country.  It has been a busy year for us and the Lord has blessed in many ways.

Psalms 68:19

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God or our salvation. Selah"

Dear Prayer Partners, July—September update 2011

In the last three months we have had several opportunities to preach and teach at home and away. We have been able to fill in for some of our missionaries while they travel to update their supporting churches this summer. It is always a special blessing to us to visit our extended church families and see first hand how the Lord is working in their lives and in their respective churches.

Thank you for praying for Tia Astor.  She is at home with the Lord and no longer suffering in her earthly tabernacle.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                         February 2011 update

We are so very grateful for your continued prayers for the requests we wrote of in the January update letter.  One request was for Pastor Steve Fox at Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church.  He has been diagnosed with cancer first of the colon then more recently cancer in his liver.  After colon surgery and more recently extensive chemo treatments his cancer levels are down in the normal range.  He is off chemo therapy now and is practicing a complete dietary change.  In two more weeks he will undergo another test to see whether or not this new change of diet has maintained the normal range.  Thank you for continuing to pray for him.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                          January 2011 update

We want to thank each of you who sent Christmas cards, gifts, e-cards, phone calls and financial support this past month.

We were blessed last month to be invited to preach at Baptist Indian Chapel.  During the Sunday school hour, we did a chalk drawing entitled “The Gift”.   It is always a joy to watch the children’s reaction to this because there is actually a gift given to “whosoever” will step up and take it.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                        November/December 2010

Autumn is a beautiful time of the year.  It brings cooler weather, annual shades of red, yellow and green and traditionally the opportunity to reflect back over the year, that is quickly coming to an end, on the multiple blessings God has given us.   This year has been no exception.

October 20, 2010

Dear Friends,

It has been awhile since I have written to all of you; Becky has been taking care of the correspondence and keeping you up to date.  However I thought I would write this note as I have something to brag about.

On November 19 Becky and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.  I am so very thankful for the good wife, friend and life partner the Lord has blessed me with.  I also can’t thank Him enough for the family He has given us to love and raise for His glory.  I am looking forward to the next 50 years if the Lord delays His coming.  We will be taking a trip to Hawaii in January to celebrate.  I hope you will forgive me for bragging just a little.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                       June, July, August 2010

It is almost impossible to realize summer has come and gone already.  We were blessed in so many ways over the summer beginning with a visit the first part of June with all our family being here.  It was good to have eight of our nine grandchildren together.  It made Father’s Day extra special.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                                       Mar, Apr, May 2010

In these last three months we have moved from Globe to Mesa Arizona; and although we thought it would be the first week of March, it was more like the third week by the time we got all our things actually in Mesa.  It would be wonderful to say we are settled in, but that would be a stretch.  We do like our home and enjoy the location we are in.  It is close to our doctors and family.  The last of March and most of April we spent in painting and repairing a ceiling in the family room.
