Dear Friends,
I Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold,...But with the precious blood of Christ,....
Praise the Lord, the blood of Christ still redeems the lost. Steve was recently blessed to lead one of the young men from church to the Lord. Chance is one of our home-school young people, but had never accepted Christ as his Savior. Steve spoke with him a few time during the last school year regarding his need, but he was not ready to be saved. A few weeks ago during the invitation at church he raised his hand for salvation. Later that evening, Steve and Chance's dad met with him and he was gloriously saved.
Our church is very thankful to the work crew from Faith Baptist Church of Morristown, IN. A group of six men, two women, and two children came to help us get our remodeling project begun. In less than a week they were able to hang, tape, mud, and paint new dry wall in the sanctuary. Everyone at church was excited to see the 'face lift'. We are now eager to see the job finished later this fall.
We were also blessed to have Jon Cook with us for the past six weeks. Jon is a senior Evangelism major at Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC. He taught Bible club on Wednesday nights. He also had a couple of opportunities to preach in the services at church. He was helpful to Steve and boys with several projects around the house, too. We look forward to see how the Lord will use this young man in the future especially since he is quite interested in our daughter, Jackie!
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.
For God's Glory-Steve De Ford
