Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all our heart; for consider how great things He hath done for you. I Samuel 12:24

Dear Praying Friends and family,

Our Lord is worthy of all praise and glory! We share our gratitude with you who have faithfully prayed and given to see this work continue. We began January with a watch-night service at church New Year's Eve. We had a great service with many in attendance and fun fellowship. Our theme for this year is "Revive Us Again in 2010". We have made genuine revival a matter of earnest prayer for several months.

The home-school co-op resumed January 4 with a new student. We now have twelve of our young people meeting each day at the church to home-school. Sherry also began tutoring at the local elementary school on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

God blessed our congregation with the arrival of Talicyn, a beautiful baby girl, born to one of our deacons and his wife on the 20th. We are looking forward to four more babies later this year including a set of twins. Pray for our parents who are adding to their quivers!

We were also blessed to have Evangelist Glen Jaspers Sunday, January 24. Our folks responded very well toward him and his wife, Mary. After the morning service, the church had lunch together and an afternoon service. We had a good attendance and wonderful fellowship with the Jaspers.

The church is still waiting on the tribe for final approval of our permit to build the addition onto the front of the building. This process has taken much longer than expected, but we do see the light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone is looking forward to getting the project underway.

Our annual business meeting revealed that the financial situation at the church is very strong. We have enough to complete our building project, buy new chairs, and refurbish the interior without any outside support! The goal of all missions is to establish self-supporting works. It is a great blessing to see the Hualapai Baptist Church get closer to this goal. At this time, the church meets all of its financial obligations with the exception of the full-time support of its pastor.

The church family continues to show their love toward our family. We are humbled by their many demonstrations of compassion. Please, continue to uphold us in your prayers as we minister among the Hualapai people. And pray for the Lord's ongoing blessings to be showered upon the Hualapai Baptist Church.

For God's Glory,
The Steve De Ford family
