Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for your faithful prayers for us over the last couple of months. We have had a very profitable summer. Two different groups came out to help with neighborhood Bible clubs, VBS, and work projects. Our first group came from New Hampshire and helped with a Bible club each morning for a week. Then each evening they helped the church at Peach Springs with our Vacation Bible School. We saw three souls saved. Then the last week in July a group came from a supporting church in Indiana that helped us with two Bible clubs and some much needed painting projects. We saw four saved that week. We are thankful for the young people and adults who have traveled so many miles to be a blessing to our church.
Two men saved this past spring were baptized the last Sunday in June. The church was filled with guest to witness the baptism service. Since the building does not have a tank, we baptized outside in a horse trough. Pray for Bob and Paul as they continue to grow in the Lord and be witnesses in the community.
Jackie has been taking out the children on Wednesday nights all summer for a Bible club program. We have enjoyed her time home from college and her help in the ministry. She has to be back at Ambassador August 17 as she will be working in the kitchen this year.
We had hoped to begin remodeling in the church building this summer, but the man that was going to head up the project hurt his back and had to return to North Carolina. Any one with knowledge in construction or a construction team that might be able to help this fall please contact us and let us know.
We continue to make progress on purchasing a permanent home. We hope to close some time in August.
Keep us in your prayers as we will be traveling to Iowa in August for the annual Independent Baptist Indian Mission retreat. This will be our first retreat since Steve became director.
