Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings in our Lord's name. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer over the last couple of months. Our God has certainly been working in our behalf. To begin with we saw our largest attendance ever on Resurrection Sunday. 93 people filled our auditorium. Our "old-timers" said it was the largest group they had seen in the history of the church. Steve gave a clear salvation message. While no one was saved that day, just two weeks later one of those visitors came to Jesus. Bob accepted Christ after three straight weeks in church. He has been growing and is to be baptized in June.
Steve has been holding Men's Meetings each month and Sherry has been having great attendance at her monthly Ladies' Meeting. Fifteen of our ladies went to Flagstaff for a Bill Rice Ranch West Branch Ladies' Conference.
After several weeks of teaching on the Biblical Distinctives of Baptists, the church voted to change its name to reflect the doctrinal statement to which we hold. We are now the Hualapai Baptist Church of Peach Springs, AZ.
In May, Jackie finished her first year at Ambassador Baptist College. We are glad to have her home for the summer. She will be helping Sherry with a couple of groups that are coming out and she is hosting a Bible club on Wednesday nights for our young people.
Two additional men also began helping with the adult Sunday School class. We now have four men that alternate this responsibility. Each of them has said how much preparing for the class each month has helped them to grow. We thank the Lord for giving us mature men who can teach the Word. HBC is truly blessed by God by having strong families and men to lead them.
Also in May our home in Canada sold! Praise the Lord for answering this request. Now, we are in the process of finding just the right place to make our home here in Arizona. We look forward to getting a place and unpacking boxes that have been in storage since we left Canada last July.
We also ask you to pray for the upcoming summer activities: VBS, Five Day Clubs, and Bible Club, and physical labor on the church property.
