Dear Praying Friends and Ministry Partners,
We pray this letter finds you blessed in this New Year. We have taken several opportunities to reflect on the blessings of the past year and are humbled again at God's goodness to us-His undeserving creation. I am thankful for the work where He has called us to minister and grateful for His empowering us to see it done.
The church has continued its consecutive record breaking attendance through December. The Sunday before Christmas we reached 76. That Sunday morning the church had its annual Christmas program. There was a strong salvation emphasis and three people raised hands for salvation, however, no decisions were made. We have continued studying the Baptist distinctives on Sunday nights. There has been some great questions and discussion time. The church doctrinal statement is baptist but the church was never designated as a Baptist church. The membership is in agreement that the church ought to make this distinction known to the whole community at this time.
We were also blessed to be able to visit with Sherry's side of the family over Christmas and New Year's. It had been several years since we had last seen some of them.
Steve begins serving as the mission director as of the first of the year. His dad has remained on the board as an advisor. Please pray for Steve as he takes on these new responsibilities.
We are thankful to report we have received a conditional offer on the house in Canada and hope to have the sale close in early March. The sale of the house will be a great blessing.
