Dear Fellow-laborers in Christ,
Church attendance has been down the last few weeks. It can be very disappointing to see Satan making inroads in the lives of some of those you have worked with spiritually, and have them fall into their old way of life. Some hear the Gospel on a regular basis, yet they are still just "hearing" the Word, but we are praying that it will find abiding in their hearts, resulting in lasting change.
At the same time, we rejoice to have those who continue to grow in the Lord, becoming more conformed to His image.
It was a blessing to have a visit from a Hoosier friend, Harry Stone, last month. Thank you, Harry, for the good fellowship, and for your help with some computer questions.
The Mother/Daughter Banquet will be held on May 3rd. The theme is on bees this year: "Bee-ing all you can bee in Christ." Please pray those attending will be challenged in many areas of practical Biblical application.
Thanks for your prayers on our behalf and for the requests we brought before you last month. We had mentioned four deaths that had occurred a few weeks apart, one being the granddaughter of a couple in our church who died after a fall. It was with great sadness the grandparents learned that the woman baby-sitting the little girl is now in jail after admitting to losing her temper and throwing her against a couch, severing her spinal cord. We had asked that you pray that these deaths might be used to draw the unsaved to Christ. God has answered those prayers, as the little girl's father and the baby-sitter have both trusted Christ as personal Savior. We ask that you pray for the spiritual growth of Francisco and Letitia.
Thank you for "being there" in so many ways and for all you do for this ministry and for us. Without your prayers, care and concern, we would be extremely limited in the work here. May His richest blessings be upon you.
In Christ,
Gary & Beverly
