Dear Friends in Christ,
We just returned from a trip to Iowa where our missionaries under IBIMI had their annual Mission Retreat. It’s encouraging to hear the field reports and know how to better pray for each other. Not only is the fellowship good, it was a great time together in the Word of God. We had a flat tire to deal with about 1 mile from the turnoff to Flagstaff from the Interstate, but the spare went on easily and quickly and we were thankful to be home again. We enjoyed the trip and had great hosts in Iowa-but there’s no place like home and no bed like your own.
We plan to be in Camp Verde for a couple of week-ends, filling in for one of our missionaries who are away. We are looking forward to being with this church group among the Yavapai and Apache people. This church is only a couple of hours away.
Prayer Requests:
Toahonnie Chief (“toe-ha-knee”) Janet’s piano student-10 years old?
This summer at a Christian Camp, Toahonnie slammed her finger in a door and removed the tip down to the base of the finger nail. Her mother asked us to share her prayer request that the finger tip will reattach and the stitches will heal well so she can start playing piano once again.
Tabitha Taylor- our granddaughter (Angela’s daughter)-15 yrs old
We asked you to pray for Tabi and Abi, her sister, as they both went on summer teen mission trips to Africa. Tabi contracted malaria while there and only a few days after getting home, she had another attack and again needed to be hospitalized. Please pray as the medication that she needs is not available in the US. This is a very serious strain of malaria and she and her family definitely need our prayers.
As Grandparents we are reminded that we, as well as our children, are here to serve the Lord, but we are not guaranteed an easy road. The Enemy doesn’t want us to glorify God. Yet He is the only one worth living for.
Matt A. –Matt is still struggling with brain cancer and not doing well. Pray for his wife Cindy and his parents Lula & George, as well as the rest of his family.
Thanks to each of you who have helped us this past month with your gifts and especially for praying for us.
In Christ,
Sam & Janet Grammer
