Dear Friends in Christ,
Although this is our letter for August, I’m actually writing in during the last few days of July. The Western Navajo Bible Fellowship (WNBF) has just started their annual, week-long Family Bible Conference here in Flagstaff. Sam has been helping them throughout the year in planning the Bible messages that will be covered. He will be teaching each morning as we study the book of Ephesians. The evening sessions will cover Eschatology/the Doctrine of Last Things. We always enjoy these meetings as we see many old friends from around the Navajo Reservation that we seldom see during the year. Classes are taught for all ages and include an English and a Navajo class for the adults.
The last day of the Family Conference, Sam is flying to Alaska for a week with 3 other men. It will be a witnessing/ministry/pleasure trip. Please pray for Sam and the other believer, Bill for opportunities to present the Gospel.
Sam is also hoping to gather some information about the possibility of establishing a Christian radio Station that will reach a small community on the Prince of Wales Island. Then of course, they are hoping to bring back some salmon, halibut… for our freezer.
Once Sam is home from the Alaskan trip, Janet will join him for a road trip to Iowa for the annual Fellowship Meeting for our mission board. This is a time of spiritual refreshment, business meeting, field reports and encouraging each other in our various ministries on the reservations. This year’s meetings are in Iowa where our Business Office is located. We try to vary where we meet each year so that we can visit each ministry location among our missionaries.

- Sam & Amber-the Lord’s direction in their lives and Amber’s summer camp ministry
- Sam has a good job possibility and still looking for a home
- Tabi & Abi- grand-daughters on summer mission trips due to return home on Aug 4 and Aug 11
- Our summer travel plans and ministry opportunities
