Sam & Janet Grammer ~ June 2010 Prayer Update

Dear Friends in Christ,

Did you miss us? Instead of writing our monthly letter last month, we were on the road, driving back to New York and then on to Pennsylvania. We were in two churches each Sunday and then another church for Wednesday night prayer meeting for the entire month of May. It has been a long time since we’ve seen some of you folks and we tried to visit as many of our churches as possible during our time in the east.

One thing that was brought to our attention was that people truly are praying for the requests that we have shared. Many asked about some of the prayer requests and we realized that we often forgot to share the way the Lord answered some of them. We know that your prayers are a very important part of our ministry and were encouraged to be reminded that you are praying with us. Here are some of those requests and how things are working out.

Our recent travel was a reminder of our requests for safety. We had to turn back home for a few hours on our first day of travel as the main interstate was closed because of severe wind. The shorter miles made the next 2 days much longer, but we arrived at 8:30 PM for our first meeting the following morning.

Our son-in-law, Nathan Carmichael is doing very well since he was injured just after Thanksgiving. Full recovery will take time, but he seems to be making good progress and getting good reports from his Drs.

Sam Jr. has finished his time with the US Marines. We are thankful for his safety as he fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He & Amber are presently living in Fort Collins, Colorado and planning on going back to college this fall.

We are hearing good reports from the church in Tuba City. When we see folks around town, they tell us that they miss us but that they are enjoying their new pastor.

Wolford Bilagody completed his first semester at the Indian Bible College and is excited to see God meet his needs. His home church in Tuba City has been a real help and encouragement to Wolf & Lily since they decided to take this step of faith.

Toahonnie Chief, Janet’s piano student who injured her finger has healed well and the reattachment of her finger tip was successful. However, she has not returned to piano lessons yet.

There were several more requests regarding health issues for various folk. If you have been praying for an individual and wondering how they are doing, please contact us and we’ll try to update you.

There is a Navajo Church looking for a pastor. Please pray with us for the Lord’s direction regarding our involvement in this work.

The annual Navajo family Bible Conference is coming up in July. Pray for each of the speakers as they prepare for the Bible sessions. Sam is scheduled to teach the English session each night. This is always a blessing and we are looking forward to another good Conference.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. We do appreciate you.

In Christ,

Sam & Janet Grammer
