Dear Friends in Christ,
We just had a visit from a young Navajo man who is actively involved in training teachers to work with children. He trains young teens and then gets them immediately involved in VBS and Bible Clubs in various churches on the Reservation. He was telling us how the teens are now coming to him to find how they can be used. This man’s parents were former students of ours many years ago. What an encouragement it was to see the next generation carrying on the work of the ministry. As we visited, he was quite reserved, until he began to talk of his work and then his enthusiasm was very evident. It was a blessing to see his love for our Lord. We did not personally train him, but had a part in it through his parents; just as you also had a part in it by helping us stay on the field with your prayers and gifts. Thank you.
Our oldest granddaughter is to graduate from High School the end of May and we are planning to travel back for her big day. This fall, she is to begin classes at Baptist Bible Seminary at Clark Summit, PA. Last month, Hannah spent 2 weeks in Romania on a short term mission trip and hopes to be able to return there after her studies on a full-time basis. Pray with us for her as she seeks to serve Him.
While back east for Hannah’s graduation, we are planning on spending the month of May visiting with many of your churches in the NY and PA area. Getting ready to be gone that long has distracted me enough that this letter is a few days late in getting taken care of. We will try to get a letter out during April and May as we travel, but if you don’t hear from us, do pray for our traveling.
Easter Sunday, we plan to be on the Navajo Reservation with our former Bible School students, Willie & Lena Tsosie. The following week-end, we will be with the Hualapai ladies where Janet is to speak. The weather has been much easier the past couple of weeks, but we would still appreciate your prayers as we travel and as we prepare to share God’s Word.
