Sam & Janet Grammer ~ February 2008 Prayer Letter

Tagged:

Dear friends,

We just returned from a week-end on the San Carlos Apache Reservation at the Gilson Wash Baptist Church. If you remember, these folks are presently without a pastor and praying for the right man that the Lord wants with them. Next Sunday, they have a man coming to candidate, so please pray with us for them.

Snow in the mountains

The night before we were to return to Flagstaff (normally a 5 hr drive), it began to rain. We saw a lot of flooding in creeks and water where we had seen dry washes on the trip down. After 12-15 years of drought, we were thanking God for the much needed water. Yes-even in the desert, we need some rain!

However, as we drove into the mountains, the rain became snow. We took this picture to share with you how even in Arizona we get snow. Please pray for us when we have to travel during the winter months for safety. Since we live at 7,000 ft above sea level, our winter travel can involve snowy conditions.

Elk in the back yard

We’ve also included a picture taken in our back yard just before Christmas. The fence is ours, but the elk is standing in the Coconino National Forest. We thought you’d enjoy the beauty that God has created and we get to see fairly often.

Last month, we traveled to North Carolina to spend Christmas and New Year’s with family. We were able to see 4 of our children with their families, as well as see some of our own siblings and Sam‘s Mom. We also were able to be with some of you during the Sunday services while we were in the east, so we saw some of our Christian family too.

We are thankful for each of you as you minister with us by praying, as well as giving. Our present ministry seems to involve much travel as we go wherever needed to preach and teach in the various Indian Churches.

Pray with us for the Lord’s leading as to how He wants us serving.

In Christ-Sam & Janet
