Dear Friends in Christ,

Jude 24, 25 Now unto him that able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding great joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Confidence in God and his word is the place of security for you and me as followers of Christ. The promises of God given to us are yea and amen. Our faith in the Bible God’s Holy word can be relied upon to keep us in his grace, mercy and peace. Confidence in our wise heavenly Father, who knows how to keep us in our daily walk in this world, grows as we learn more of who he is.

January 18, 2009 Brother Ken Dean, Evangelist and his wife Anne were with us in our Sunday morning services, with Brother Ken speaking in both Sunday School and Morning service’s. They were a great blessing to our church family. Brother Dean was my guest speaker for the 7:00 a.m. Christian Broadcast on KOHN 91.9 FM. His topic of who God Is was a tremendous Salvation message.

February 21, 2009 I performed a funeral service for a young adult man, his mother Janice Garcia is my cousin and services where conducted in San Miguel community on the Tohono O'odham Nation. He was taken in a tragic two vehicle accident. He left behind a six year old daughter Frances and his girlfriend Loren.

July 17 Friday night we had a special service with a men’s quartet with pianist from Golden State Baptist College out of the San Francisco area. They were with Pastor Stan Stringer of Faith Baptist Church along with other church members out of Three Points Arizona. The men presented an excellent ministry in song and preaching that truly was impressive. July 19 Sunday night through Wednesday night visitors from Jordan Baptist Church out of Virginia conducted Vacation Bible School in the evenings in Vamori. In the mornings the group conducted VBS in Sells, AZ at the First Papago Baptist Church. The group was hosted by the First Papago Baptist church and was invited out to Arizona by Brother John Coleman out of Rincon Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ.

Other ministry works performed: in May I had the privilege to swear into office twelve (12) newly elected community representatives in the Chukut Kuk district on the Tohono O'odham Nation, In June I spoke at a family gathering for a father who was going into major surgery for a kidney problem. There were a large number of people with two church choir groups that gave testimony in song. However the family invited a Native American tradition singers and drummers who sang and danced traditionally. It was discouraging after what seemed to be a good Christian meeting. This has occurred in some funeral services I have been asked to perform. Pray for our Tohono O'odham people that the message of life might penetrate and bring about healing in those who will trust in the Lord. On July 4th I perform a wedding ceremony in Vamori for Genie and Robert after the Tribal Court had miss scheduled their dates.

In the radio broadcast I will be preaching in the book Jude on August 30, 2009 broadcast over KOHN 91.9 FM.

Ruby, Naomi and I enjoyed our trip to Waylon, Missouri for the Independent Baptist Indian Missions Inc. Conference conducted on August 13-14, 2009. It was a wonderful trip and even a greater conference experience. We enjoyed the fields, hill, wilderness, rivers and small towns of Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Kansas. Our hosts Carla and John Dunlap of Keokuk, Iowa were outstanding as they planned the use of their home church the First Baptist Church in Waylon, Missouri. Our housing hosts there in Kahoka, Missouri Bob and Thelma Allen made our stay enjoyable and restful. I thank the Lord for using our Indian Missionaries work that is reaching the various Native Indians for Christ.

Be in prayer for the churches building project for Sunday school and Fellowship hall. We will be demolishing the old adobe building just west of the church building which is the site for the new building project.

God bless you all,
Gordon Garcia, Pastor
