Dear Prayer Partners, July—September update 2011
In the last three months we have had several opportunities to preach and teach at home and away. We have been able to fill in for some of our missionaries while they travel to update their supporting churches this summer. It is always a special blessing to us to visit our extended church families and see first hand how the Lord is working in their lives and in their respective churches.
In July we spent quite a bit of time finishing the family room and roofing of our house as well as mak-ing a trip to North Carolina for our granddaughter Jackie’s wedding to Jon Cook. Jon is doing his graduate studies in evangelism at Ambassador Baptist College.
August was a time of finalizing plans for beginning the Bible institute. We will be using the block courses from the Institute in Biblical Education from Bob Jones University.
September began the Institute classes and they were well attended. Please pray that the students en-rolled will be faithful in finishing the courses and realize real spiritual growth in their lives as a result. After summer break Becky is again teaching the Ladies Bible study group at Ferguson Memorial. On the 25th of September a young lady expressed her desire to know more of God’s plan of salvation and after going through several scripture verses asked the Lord to save her. Please pray for her as the Lord brings her to your memory.
