Dear Prayer Partners, Jan- Feb 2010 update
In the two months of 2010 we have already had much activity in ministry as well as personally. We are grateful for your prayers for us in both these areas.
In January it was good to have the ministry team from International Baptist College at Gilson Wash Baptist. They presented a great program and were a blessing to the church folks. February brought us Dr. Glen and Mary Jaspers for the annual Valentine Banquet and then again for services on the 15th. They are such an encouragement to all the IBIMI sister churches and we count it a real blessing to be with them.
Gilson Wash continues to grow and mature spiritually, a true blessing to us. These are dear people to us and they have been a great encouragement seeing them continuing to mature over the past five years.
David finished teaching through Genesis 13 at the end of February and Becky finished teaching four year old Precious in mid-February. She learned the sounds of the letters of the alphabet and is ready to begin preschool with a good foundation.
Because of David’s health and impaired balance the need to be in a ground level home has become evident. We began seeing the Lord guiding us in December to a home to better fill that need. After considerable prayer and looking, we are confident the Lord would have us move to Mesa, Az. Mesa is about an hour and a half drive from Globe and within easy access to three reservations. We are hopeful and really anticipate helping established works as the Lord opens these opportunities to us. It is not a time to quit, but a time to adjust to new opportunities as the Lord provides. It is exciting to us and we look forward to what the Lord has in store for ministry and service.
