Dear Prayer Partners,
“Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow”
This time of year is when we recount the innumerable blessings the Lord has showered us with. It is impossible to relate to you, our faithful supporting churches and individuals, all that the Lord has blessed us with in the measure of this past year. Following is a weak attempt.
The Mission itself gained one new family, the Stuart Noggle’s, working with the Randy Wilson’s in the Sanders area. At present they are under the A.S.S.I.S.T. program until such time as Stuart is licensed or ordained.
The Mission Retreat was held in Cochrane, Alberta Canada with Steve and Sherry hosting the group. Although we were unable to attend this year, everyone that did attend reported a spiritual and physical time of refreshing. That is the desired purpose of these annual retreats.
In early July David began having physical problems later to be diagnosed as Guillain Barre Syndrome. We reported monthly the continuing weakness until in October when the gradual recovery period began. It is a blessing now to report that he no longer uses the wheelchair or the walker. He does use a cane to maintain balance and continues physical therapy locally. Here in the house he does not need the cane and we are hopeful that in time we can retire that along with the wheelchair and walker. Again we want to express our gratefulness to you who have faithfully prayed for his recovery, sent cards, called, sent e-mails and helped us financially with gasoline expenses back and forth to therapy. What God does and allows to happen is always right and always good. ALWAYS!!!
The church continues to be a blessing and encouragement. The men continue to take responsibility in leadership capacities. Attendance has stayed faithfully between 50 and 60. The fellowship addition will soon be completed with the unexpected provision of a $6000. gift. This should allow us to put in kitchen cabinets and flooring as well as paying off an interest free loan. We firmly believe that because of the faithfulness and diligence of the church folk to see this work completed that the Lord has blessed them with this gift. In all our human attempts at “work days”, etc. to see things accomplished the Lord ever so gently reminds us He is the One that is in control of all things and He is the One that provides!
We pray you will see the Lord’s leading and direction every day of the year in your life.
In His love and ours,
Dave and Becky
