David had the opportunity again this year to judge the ‘preacher boys’ contest at International Baptist College on the 23rd. This has proven to be a real blessing seeing the young men preparing for ministry and exercising their studies.
We were so grateful to have Harry Stone with us for two and a half weeks this past month. He helped David in so many ways to get a storage shed organized with tools that had not been put away in the three years we’ve lived here. He painted and built and was a great encouragement to us.
The appointment with the neurologist in the middle of the month was an encouragement as well. The doctor prescribed pads for David’s feet that have helped him greatly. The pain is relieved greatly which makes it more tolerable to stand and walk. He still has problems with balance and swelling. We are trusting these problems will improve in time. From the beginning the doctors have all told us not to expect too much for at least a year. It will be July that a full year has passed since he first became ill. We are very grateful for the way the Lord has provided healing in the past ten months. He is always GOOD and He is always RIGHT.
Please continue to pray for a permanent pastor for Gilson Wash. There is a man coming to candidate in early June. We are asking the Lord to give clear direction to him as well as to the church family.
We would ask your prayers as well for traveling safety as we take Jackie home to Canada the middle of May. It’s been good to have her with us since January and she has accomplished quite a bit in these four and a half months, including getting her driver’s license.
