Dear Supporting Church Families & Friends,
Greetings from the Tohono O’Odham Nation. Thank you so much for all who faithfully and prayerfully support the ministry here! We are privileged to be co-workers together with you for our precious Saviour! The Lord has greatly blessed us over the past two months!
We are very excited to have found out the gender of our soon-coming baby! “Reinforcements are on the way” for Brandon and me, as the Lord is blessing us with another little boy! We are very excited about this news, and ask your prayers for Louann and the new little one as we eagerly anticipate the last of February / first of March for his arrival! He blesses us so much more than we deserve! Also pray that we’ll be faithful parents in raising all of our treasures in His nurture and admonition!
Throughout the Summer, the teens here took part in a contest run by the Bill Rice Ranch West Branch between 15-20 churches in the state. Points were awarded for church attendance, scripture memory, bringing visitors and handing out gospel tracts. I am very excited for, and proud of, several of our young people who worked very hard all Summer and won this contest! God gets all of the glory, and it is exciting to see them serve Him, and learn of His blessings to those who serve Him faithfully. They were rewarded with a great gift from the Ranch that we are able to use during some of the youth meetings! As I mentioned in the previous letter, Satan always works hard to distract the youth. Please continue to remember them in your prayers.
There is some exciting news concerning the Bible Clubs in Cockleburr Village, as the attendance is picking back up greatly over the past month. We so long to see the kids here allow God to be the Father, and give them the love, that they currently know nothing about. Please pray for them, and for the work there. We are also nearing Christmas time, when many of you have been so generous in past years to help provide for these kids’ Christmas gifts. If anyone would like to contribute to this project this year, please mark it as “Kids’ Christmas Gift.” We thank you for all you do for them (and HIM)!
We were also blessed with great CASA meetings at Mrs. Mabel’s home in Cockleburr during the past two months. Mrs. Mabel surprised us by having her granddaughter prepare a meal for us during one of our services there. It is so exciting to get to serve the Lord there with Mrs. Mabel. Please pray for her health and wellbeing, and for the services there. We had 3 or more lost people visit with us during the last service!
The Ak-Chin church is also being blessed. During the past two months we have seen attendance highs and lows. We are excited about our recent Friends & Family Day, where we had 5 first-time visitors, and the Lord’s working in hearts was evidenced! It is exciting to see the Lord work here, and sad to see some stray from His will! Please pray for those in Ak-Chin, and may we all be reminded that if we do not have a daily, personal relationship with Jesus, we are starving ourselves spiritually. That daily walk is so important! Another exciting day recently at Ak-Chin was Mission Sunday, where we taught the new Christians there about the Great Commission and God’s desire for each of us to reach the world. After several weeks of prayer and teaching, we took up a Mission Offering (from a small group with a VERY small income), and the Lord blessed us with $320 to send as a one-time gift to a special missionary! Very exciting to see several here growing in His grace and knowledge. Please continue to pray for the people of the Gu-Achi District and Ak-Chin Village.
Our family is continually blessed, and continually needs your prayers. Latanya turned 16 in October, and Lilly turned 13! I am so thankful for the wonderful family God has blessed me with. So glad we get to serve Him together! Please pray for us all, especially Louann and the new baby!
Working together with you for HIM,
Brian & Louann, Latanya, Lilly, Rebecca & Brandon
