Dear Friends in Christ,

During the month of June, Sam has had several opportunities to preach; twice on the Hulapai Reservation and twice right here in Flagstaff for a pastor that took the youth group on a trip to camp. Twice this past month, he has had to say no because he was scheduled to preach somewhere else. It appears that the entire month of July will also be filled as he preaches on the Navajo Reservation at Tuba City once again. For those who have been praying with us about pastors in some of the Indian churches, here's the latest up-date: San Carlos is to vote today on a possible pastor.

Dear Co-laborers in Christ,

May saw things continue pretty much as usual at church. We continue to have occasional scheduling conflicts with others using the building. You may recall last year just such a problem arose a few days before our annual Mother/Daughter Banquet. And just like last year, we thought the calendar was cleared for us to use the building, but this year we were later told the tribal council wanted to use it for a special meeting on that day. Once again, the Lord met the need and we were allowed to use the beautiful tribal senior center building. Fourteen mothers and daughters attended, and it was a very special time for all.

Dear Fellowlabourers,

In our last letter, we told about Shawn getting saved and how she had gone to Albuquerque to attend school. She came home for spring break and came to church. On Sunday night she testified how wonderful it was to be saved. It was a real blessing. She said that because her dad had died when she was young and her mom who was an alcoholic had deserted her that she did not really believe there was a God. She went on to tell how good God had been to her and how thankful she was that she had come to church and heard the Gospel. There was not a dry eye in the church by the time she finished testifying. Continue to pray for Shawn.

Dear Prayer Partners,

Summer is upon us with increasing temperatures along with plans for VBS, camps, visiting work groups and summer missionaries. We praise the Lord for these extended opportunities to sow seed, water and anticipate the harvest.  Thank you in advance for your prayers concerning all these opportunities.

Dear Friends in Christ,

AVAILABLE That seems to describe our ministry for the past couple of months. The calendar has little scheduled on it, but we have been busy-just being available. Available to answer the phone with folks wanting encouragement or counsel. Available to visit a family member that is in the Flagstaff jail. Available to supply a bed for the night to friends and family who are in town because someone is in the hospital. A family wanting some Biblical guidance for problems in their home. Just being available to meet needs of brothers and sisters in Christ.

Dear Fellow-laborers in Christ,

Church attendance has been down the last few weeks. It can be very disappointing to see Satan making inroads in the lives of some of those you have worked with spiritually, and have them fall into their old way of life. Some hear the Gospel on a regular basis, yet they are still just "hearing" the Word, but we are praying that it will find abiding in their hearts, resulting in lasting change.

At the same time, we rejoice to have those who continue to grow in the Lord, becoming more conformed to His image.

Dear Supporting Church Families & Friends,

“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” We thank the Lord for the increase He has given over the past couple of months. There is so much to tell about.

In April, Louann & I took 3 of the teenagers to a youth conference at Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, CA. There were around 2,000 teens there, and a lot of great preaching and singing! The Lord really worked on hearts in this meeting. One of the greatest blessings was seeing Latanya (our oldest daughter) walk the aisle and give her heart and life completely to Him and His desires for her life! Please pray for her, as the devil would love to steal that decision away and have her forget it and ruin it. Although she is not perfect (none of us are), we have seen tremendous improvements in her life. We praise God for His working there! He is so faithful to answer our prayers if we’ll just be faithful to Him!

Dear Prayer Partners

Thank you for your prayers this past month for the ministry and for David’s physical needs. …..”The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16b
