Dear Praying Friends,

Greetings in our Lord's name. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer over the last couple of months. Our God has certainly been working in our behalf. To begin with we saw our largest attendance ever on Resurrection Sunday. 93 people filled our auditorium. Our "old-timers" said it was the largest group they had seen in the history of the church. Steve gave a clear salvation message. While no one was saved that day, just two weeks later one of those visitors came to Jesus. Bob accepted Christ after three straight weeks in church. He has been growing and is to be baptized in June.

Dear Prayer Partners,                                                                        April May 2009 update

We thank you all for your prayers for the ministry here and for us personally. In our last letter we asked prayer especially for Ethel Bullis. She continues in declining health now with congestive heart failure. We asked prayer as well for Steve Fox. He is now on chemo therapy. Michael Veldhuis has been one of IBIMI missionaries since 1986. After a heart attack and quad bypass, he is now home and doing well.  Please continue to pray for these as the Lord reminds you.

Dear Friends in Christ,

The first two week-ends of this past month, we traveled west rather than the normal trip east to Tuba City.  This time, we were headed for the Hualapai Reservation to the Peach Springs Baptist Church.  It was a real treat to spend some time with these friends again. The pastor is our present Mission Director who needed to be gone for his daughter’s graduation from Bible College back in North Carolina.

Dear Family and Friends in Christ,

Warmest greetings from all of us back at work on our windy southwest Arizona desert reservations. Cloudless 75- 80 degree days invigorate us for ongoing Cocopah labors and encourage us in the work of preparing individuals, vehicles, and resources for summer’s critical camp and Bible Time ministries.

Dear Ones in Him,

Our loving heavenly Father is answering your faithful prayers concerning church attendance. We continue to see new folk coming, as well as others who have returned after missing services for some time. We have two ladies awaiting baptism. Hopefully we can work out arrangements soon with a local church that generously allows us use of their baptistry.

And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house...Deuteronomy 26:11

Dear Fellow Laborers,

We certainly have much to be thankful for in our Lord Jesus Christ. Steve has been preaching through Ephesians on Sunday morning were we find we are blessed "with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." To be assured of heaven as our eternal home is the greatest blessing of all. We thank God we have the privilege of sharing this message among the Hualapai to whom the Holy Spirit has called us.

Dear Prayer Partners

In early February we traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas to visit with IBIMI missionaries Don and Elaine Stephens. It was a blessing to preach in their a.m. and p.m. services on the 8th. We had planned to take a one day side trip on our way home with Don and Elaine following us as far as Fredricksburg, TX., but on our way in Hondo, TX., our car was hit and totaled. No one was injured and after renting a car in San Antonio we returned home as did the Stephens’. After receiving an insurance settlement later in the month we were able to purchase another car March 3.

Dear Friends in Christ,

On February 26, we received a call that Janet’s Mom had died.  She had lived in a nursing home for several years with Parkinsons Disease and we’re thankful her suffering is over.  One brother asked, “Do you think Mom has found Dad yet?”  The response was, “No, I think she’s still standing in awe, looking on the face of Almighty God!  Maybe Dad is still standing there in awe and neither one even sees the other because of seeing our Creator!”  Just the thought of being in Heaven in His presence thrills the soul and comforts the heart.  Janet was able to fly back to New York to be with her family during this time. Thank you to those who sent cards, called, and even helped with the travel expenses.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Greetings in our Lord's Name,

We wanted you to rejoice with us in the salvation of two souls in the last few weeks. Rodrico comes to our church from Kingman about forty-five miles away. Because of the distance and his financial circumstances he is not able to attend regularly. He comes about twice a month. We have been praying for his salvation for a few months. On the first day of our recent revival services Rodrico came forward and accepted Christ as his Savior. The following week another church in Kingman was also holding revivals. We attended a couple of meetings as well as several of the families from our church. On the last night of their services one of our men, Paul, came forward for salvation and Steve was able to lead him to Christ.

Dear Prayer Partners,

February 2009 Since we did not get out a letter in January, we will try to get caught up this month. On December 28 and January 4, we were at Peach Springs Arizona on the Hualapai (wall-a-pie) Reservation filling the pulpit for Steve as they visited Sherry’s family for Christmas. It was so good to be with these folks. There is a good mix of ages and all are enthusiastic and desirous to study and learn. They were a blessing to us.
